Be there be Square September 15, 2012 The Apprentice School student chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) at Newport News Shipbuilding is proud to once again sponsor the 5th Annual Apprentice Cardboard Boat Regatta. We are thrilled to give back to our community in such a spirited manner!
Last year’s
proceeds were
$4,392.00.
This year’s goal is $5,000.00. The proceeds
will once again be split between the Khedive Shrine Hospital Patient
Transportation Fund and Shriners Hospitals for Children. The Khedive
Shrine Transportation Fund pays for the transport of our local
Tidewater children and one adult companion to and from the hospital
where the child is being treated.
