SME Chapter in Virginia 217
SME Student Night - 19 April 2006
On Wednesday April 19th, The Society of Manufacturing Engineers local
chapter held their annual student night technical paper presentations. Three
members of The Apprentice Schools chapter (David Yohe, Ronald Toxey, &
Christopher Guthrie) participated by presenting the topic, "Fiber Optics",
to include a demonstration on blowing fibers for installation. The other
college to participate was Old Dominion University who presented two papers;
James Hertzog presented "The Redesign of the 1998 Ford Ranger Intake
Manifold" and Heather Pomerene who presented "The Redesign of the Human
Power Vehicle (HPV)".
