Congratulations to the Falcons team from York High School for winning the Hunley Trophy at the 2nd Annual SNAME Boat Design Competition!
We had a beautiful day to host the 2009 Boat competition at the Mariner's Museum's Lion's bridge. The 'Final Four' did a great job racing with the support of hundreds of spectators. The event drew larger crowds, raced boats with more thrust and had more entries than last year. All of the students did a fantastic job preparing for this event .This year's winning team was the Falcons from York High School. For more Race day details and pictures of the event click here.

Attention Everyone, I am excited about the next tour we are arranging at NASA Langley. We have the possibility of touring all of the following topics depending on what areas people are interested in and how many people would be interested in the tour; Flight Test Articles (FTA) being used for testing components of the Constellation program (this is the CM Boilerplate, fabrication shop and ongoing projects) and a tour of the Hanger. Other opportunities depending on the audience could include some of the wind tunnels, robotics, or the gantry. The flight test articles consist of where they are making the mock-up of the new capsule that will be going to the moon and mars and the hanger is where the astronauts used to train. We will also have the opportunity to tour the wind tunnels and some of the robotics that NASA will be using. They need to have an idea of how many people we would be bringing to have badges made for them to get into NASA and to decide what areas they can accommodate in the tour. This tour would take place either early 2009. Details will be forthcoming once we have an idea of the interest level. Please go to the sign-up sheet at the link provided and let us know if you will be joining us for this exciting and informative event. If you have any questions, please contact Alan Anderson Bldg. 600, Chris Skiba - Bldg. 160, Spencer Moyer - Trailer 93, Lee Lambertson Bldg. 902, Carlyn Swanson - Bldg. 902 or Julie Lane - Bldg. 903.  (NGNN Employees Only)
